Antique French soup tureen, this tureen is marked with the makers mark of Gien, which is a good reputable French porcelain and table ware manufacturer from the late 1800s.
This soup tureen is showing age related crazing to the glaze which has allowed the time worn colouration to form, this gives the piece its unique soft worn patina that is so sympathetic to cottage, country house and French style home decor.
Would look delightful planted up with bulbs in for any time of the year.
